Charts of raw silk and other products
These charts were appended to a notification by the World Exposition Secretariat to the Seiin (Central Board) about its publication of pictures of activities in the silk industry and agriculture on 19 July in the 6th year of Meiji(1873). From 1872 to 1876, the Artifacts Section of the Ministry of Education, and later the World Exposition Secretariat of the Grand Council of State as its successor in this task, collected materials on traditional crafts from each prefecture. From these materials, they compiled and published explanations of Japanese products and various other pictorial documents, such as Oshiegusa.
"Kobunroku" (Compiled Records of the Grand Council of State) containing these documents were designated as National Important Cultural Properties of Japan in the 10th year of Heisei (1998) .
