- Administrative / Biographical History
- The Agriculture Administration Bureau was established in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on January 21, 1941. At the time of establishment, it consisted of the Agriculture Administration Division, Management Improvement Division, Farmland Division, Crop Production Division, Regional Specialties Division, Livestock Industry Division, and the Agricultural Industry Insurance Division. The operations concerning veterinarians and the distribution of veterinary licenses were under the administration of the Livestock Industry Division at that time. On October 26, 1945, the Livestock Industry Bureau was established, and the Livestock Administration Division, Animal Feed Division, Livestock Industry Division, Horse Industry Division and Sanitation Division were established. Then the operations concerning veterinarians were transferred under the Livestock Industry Bureau Sanitation Division. With the establishment of the Livestock Industry Bureau, the Livestock Industry Division was transferred from the Agriculture Administration Bureau to the Livestock Industry Bureau, but later, abolished in May 1947. After the establishment of the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce on November 1, 1943 and the revival of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on August 26, 1945, the name of the Agriculture Administration Bureau was changed to the Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Affairs Bureau on August 1, 1952.
