- This records group consists of The Defense Agency Specifications Catalogue and specifications included in the Catalogue. The Defense Specifications (DSP) based on "Directive on the Standardization of Reserves and Equipment, 1968" (Defense Agency Directive No. 33), which were established from 1968 to March 31, 1988 are arranged by department (Defense Agency Equipment Bureau Management Division Procurement Supplementary Division). These specifications include the following items: 1) Specifications number (department symbol and number), 2) Name of specifications and designated equipment, 3) Dates of establishment and revision, 4) Names of bureaus and divisions that created original drafts, and 5) Notes (with or without descriptions and approved applications)|br|Although these are printed material, they were classified as permanent preservation, and only three copies exist now, one in the National Archives of Japan and two in the Board of Audit of Japan.
