- Materials in this unit include Road Bureau documents related to the first to sixth loans the Japan Highway Public Corporation obtained from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the World Bank) to construct for the Chuo, Meishin, and Tomei Expressways. The loan agreements were signed between 1960 and 1966. Included in addition to original drafts of loans are the negotiating party's records, official telegrams, and side letters. Some of the documents from the World Bank and their subject names are written in English.
