Kasugashinkozu

Miyuki is moving of an object of worship of a shrine from an enshrined shrine to other shrine. This scrolls depicts a festival in Wakamiya at Nara Kasuga Grand Shrine held on November 27th of each year at that time. What appear to be rough sketches using Chinese-ink are seen in parts of the painting. Painted in Edo Period, but the painter, history and other details are not known.The festival is also now held annually on December 17.
