- The Ministry of Finance was established in January 2001 after the Finance Ministry was changed in name due to restructuring in the central government ministries and agencies of January 2001. The internal departments and agencies include the Minister's Secretariat, the Budget Bureau, the Tax Bureau, the Custom and Tariff Bureau, the Finance Bureau, and the International Bureau. As the external bureau, the National Tax Agency was set up.
