- This unit includes Privy Council meeting records compiled by procedural stage, year and consultation subject. The principal duty of the Privy Council was to provide advice and suggestions as requested by the Emperor with respect to important state affairs under the former Constitution. Records consist of Drafts of Grant (1888-1947), Minutes of the Committee (1899-1947), Evaluation Reports (1890-1947), Minutes Notes (1888-1947), Bill Distribution registries (1892-1947), resolutions (1888-1947), special reports and reports to the Emperor and the Cabinet (1888-1947), item registries, and other miscellaneous documents.
